Who We Are
Hello! My family and I are veteran missionaries to Papua New Guinea, having spent most of the twenty-four years from 1972 to 1996 serving the Lord in that country. It was there that our two daughters, Christy (Christina) and Connie were born and brought up and learned to labor with us in the ministry.
A large part of our time there was spent among the Owena people of the Eastern Highlands. Owena is an isolated area, unknown to "white man" before the 1960's. Our only access to the village before the late 1980's was by foot or by helicopter.
During those years in Owena, the Lord enabled us to
See many of the Owena people turn from ancestor worship to serve the true and living God.
See three churches planted and national pastors ordained to oversee these churches.
Establish an alphabet and set up a literacy program in the Owena language.
Complete the translation of the gospel of John and the three epistles of John.
Translate a number of portions of Scripture into the trade language, Melanesian Pidgin.
Translate other teaching material into both the Owena language and the trade language
Oversee the construction of an airstrip.
Assist the people through medical ministry.
